FSX / P3D scenery

FSX RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge Scenery

RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge are recreated in their pre-1993 operational Cold War layout, with museum-informed accuracy, dense building coverage, and performance-friendly design for FSX. The package also adds tailored AI traffic featuring A-10, F-16, and C-130 operations, plus refined airfield files and scenery tweaks for smoother, more reliable flying.

RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge. Scenery of the former United States Air Force "Twin" bases of RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge as they were in their operational state before closure in 1993. Built with the help of the Bentwaters Cold War Museum, the scenery contains nearly every building on both airfields yet retains a high frame rate. Includes an AI package of A-10, F-16 and C-130 aircraft. By Ian, John and Stevo at The Airfield Construction Group.

81st TFW RAF Bentwaters Woodbridge for FSX.

Thank you for downloading V3 of 81st TFW RAF Bentwaters Woodbridge for FSX, version 1 and 2 where released on our website at www.airfieldconstructiongroup.org and are now void.

If YOU HAVE EARLIER VERSIONS OF THIS SCENERY INSTALLED (specifically V2) PLEASE UNINSTALL FIRST USING THE START MENU UNINSTALLER BEFORE INSTALLING THIS VERSION.

Fixes and Additions in this Release.

1. Removal of crash detection on all buildings and the parked cars. NB, it is still applied to the service vehicles, so beware!

2. Slightly larger flatten areas to bring a few floating trees on the edge of the scenery back down to earth when high definition third party mesh is used.

3. Repositioning of the Manual so that it is installed only in the ACG folder and not in the Start-up Group.

4. A couple of late (small) additions to the scenery.

5. Some minor tweaks to the AFX files.

Thanks

ACG Team

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

  1. Michael

I was stationed at Bentwaters/Woodbridge for 15 years total. Every building, except one, that I ever worked in is there. Awesome scenery.
